Some of you may be (probably with good reason) suspicious and cynical by nature, so where appropriate we have included charity membership numbers and other evidence below.
We collect and recycle all toner cartridges for laser printers and photocopiers. We also can recycle some ink cartridges: Hewlett-Packard cartridges in particular. Please keep the original cartons and let us know whenever you have cartridges ready to collect. We will not normally make a special trip to collect, as this defeats some of the object of recycling, so we will try to fit in the collections with deliveries in your locality. You should not have to store them for too long, but if they become a problem please tell us. All proceeds from this recycling go to the RNLI. So far we have raised over five thousand pounds for the RNLI by recycling toner cartridges. Ged Haywood is a Life Governor of the RNLI, membership number 11637254, an active sailor and a former member of the RNLI Alfreton Branch Committee.
Here is a letter from the recyclers confirming the 2012 total amount donated to the RNLI from cartridge recycling efforts, and Jubilee's individual contribution to that figure.
We collect used postage stamps for the RSPB. They are MUCH more valuable if they are sorted into "definitive" (ordinary ones), "commemorative" (issued for some special occasion, usually with pretty pictures) and "foreign". Sales of used postage stamps raised over fifteen thousand pounds for the RSPB in 2010. Ged Haywood is a Life Fellow of the RSPB (membership number 17481108) and a Patron of the RSPB "Save the Albatross" campaign.
Ged Haywood is a Life Member (membership number 302052167) of the Woodland Trust, he also owns and manages woodland in South Humberside.
